| Project objectives in English | The proposal is auggesting to study technocratic features in the Czech history in the 1at half of the 20th century /Masaryk a Academy , of Labour, agricultural planning and research, eugenic trends, Bata a concept/ including their social rooting and their contribution to the legitimation of social engineering. The study will be focused on the ways how during the First Czechoslovak Republic these trends interacted with scientism, how influenced the mentalities and cognitive platforms of the intellectual circles, how responded to the development in the arts and how were supporting the diffusion of the totalitarian ideologies in the following periods/ dirigistic economy during Protectorate, planned economy and sovietization of Czech science and technologyduring the period of People ´s Democracy/ The project combines the approach of historical, politological and sociological sciences.
